Macon Water Authority - Javer's Lucas Lake
After the disaster of 96, everybody in Macon resolved to not make the same mistakes again. The city bought some land up in Jones County and built what they call Javer's Lucas Lake. In a large, deep reservoir, all the sediments settle onto the bottom,. So you don't have to do as much work filtering that water before you send it down to people's taps.
