Liberty University

Liberty University was founded by Jerry fallwell senior in the early 1980s. The school's motto is 'training champions for christ' But donations plummeted after televangelist scandals of the late eighties, and liberty university's debt ballooned to a hundred million dollars. A bail out came in the form of a 70 million dollar donation. With an early form of distance learning, where the school would send out v h s tapes of lectures to students, liberty began to see itself climbing out of the red. Fallwell junior took over as president at liberty in two thousand seven,. which coincided with both high speed internet access and the great recession. He had no interest in being in the spotlight.
