The History of the Army's Tests of Chemical Weapons
The Army tested the effectiveness of chemical weapons by spraying large areas of the United States with a chemical called zinc cadmium sulfide. The first test occurred along a path from South Dakota to Minnesota. In 1994, it was revealed that the tests were actually part of a biological weapons program.
