Happy New Year. Are you ready to stop waiting for permission to be yourself?

I'm kicking off my 20th season with something different. Shorter shows during the week, deeper conversations on weekends. Six minutes of daily fuel Monday through Friday, then we go deep where it counts.

Today, we're talking about the two things you were born with that nobody can take away—free will and your unique way of doing things. You're already using them whether you know it or not. The question is, are you doing it on purpose?

Most of us live in that gap. We spend our days doing what needs to be done, but when nobody's telling us what to do, when we're on our own to fill our own time, we become somebody different. Someone more real.

I see it in my coaching work all the time. Successful business people, high-end professionals, and entrepreneurs running the show. They're crushing it by everyone else's standards. But they come to me because they're not doing it their way.

You already have free will, and you're using it right now, even if you think someone else is calling the shots.

When I do things somebody else's way in my writing, speaking, or coaching work, that's when I become ineffective.

Ask yourself what you do when you're doing you, and something tangible will come to mind that you've been ignoring.
