The Importance of Scalability in Trend Following
I started with a five million dollar account. I had really never managed the amount of money that these guys were throwing around. And, you know, if I couldn't manage three, four, $500 million at a place like Graham, I was almost useless to those guys because their bottom line is so huge. That was when I really knew that I had to make this a real trend following fully automated, fully systematic strategy that was scalable and not have discretionary entries. So today I've collaborated with a gentleman named David Frakes. He's got a very similar story that I do. But what's really important about Dave is that he's got a passion for the markets.
