The Relationship Between Attachment and Parental Conflict
We use functional near infered spectroscope, which is imaging using light. We do that on both the parent and child at the same time while they interact. So we can see the blood flow in each of their brains. And so this study is really looking at an attachment related stresser - a stress within the family system. A great connection with one or both care givers really buffers against those biological effects of stress. Their hair is helping you figure out just how much stress these kids are under.
