Introduction
Rishi vasa was the son of satevati and rishi parashar. He composed an epic poem, which he called the mahabharta. Viasa couldn't write it down because his thoughts ran faster than his pen. Brahma recommended ganisha for this job. Ganesha agreed but with a condition: If you ever hesitate while reciting your poem my pen will never stop.
