The Soviet Union and the Phantom Orchestra

Meril goldberg was a saxophenist playing in a band called the boston klesmer conservatory band. She wanted to eat up with a group called the phantom orchestra. The phantom orchestra was a dissident group who maybe weren't too happy with how the authorities were running the soviet union at the time. It wasn't that easy to get out of the sovie unit. They weren't very keen on people leaving exactly. So this group of american musicians, including our hero merrill, went out there and she realized w it'd be kind of handy if we could smuggle some information in and out of the us.
