During the year teachers are working so much more often than people realize. Middle and high school teachers can have 180 students easily. Can you imagine grading refining the writing of and correcting essays for 263 students every single time you give them an assignment? You cannot accomplish that in 50 minutes during the school day. Do all the parent calls that administrators are now putting on teachers' shoulders. It's too much.
