Why Do We Still Have Nuclear Weapons?
Why do we still have nuclear deterrents? The cold war is over. In fact, we're even moving to a point where our number of trident nuclear war heads are set to increase under boris johnson's gove. Why is this the case? Well, the argument essentially rests on one of future uncertainty. So it's a particular reading of world politics. And i think the interesting thing about what nuclear weapons do,. is whether they necessarily construct a view of world politics in order to justify the existence of these weapons and their potential use. Or whether you think they are more of an objective, orof response, reflection to the world as it is.
