What's the Consistent Thing About David?
In the book of Leviticus, David is anointed king over 12 tribes. He asks god if he should go up against philistines who want to fight him. God says yes and so they do - but not in a way that will defeat them. When things are going well for david, he always asks god first whether it's right or wrong.
