Biden's Plan to Set Up Processing Centers in Latin America
Biden's plan is to set up processing centers in Latin America so that you can apply for asylum not at the border but somewhere else. The idea would be to screen all these applicants for eligibility based on US law. I think the thinking there is that these centers right now, which they're slated for Colombia and Guatemala, are to pass through points for significant numbers of people.
