The New England Vampire Is Called Food for the Dead by Michael Bell
There was a belief in parson new england that if somebody died from tuberculosis, the first person dies of tuberculosis and then they're buried. There was this idea that the first person who died from the disease was feeding on their family members. And so there were few ways to kind of remedy this situation.
