Introduction
The first regional paper is entitled High Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin for Risk Assessment in Patients with Chronic Coronary Arter Disease. A troponin concentration of more than 10 nanograms per liter identified patients with a 50% increase in the risk of myocardial infarction or cardiovascular death. In over 4,000 Patients, age 66 years as an average, 33% female coronary artery disease was identified in 92% of them and 6% had a primary outcome event during a median follow-up of 2 to 4 years.
