Speculative Execution Attacks on the CPU
A scientist at m i t c sale developed what they call a packman. It is an attack on apple m one systems on chip that can find correct values to pass the check. The scientists conducted a speculative execution attack and then judged whether they had guessed the correct pack value or not through a side channel. On the one hand, it's harder to pull off but also means it cannot be patched.
