I was worried on your behalf throughout this must have been a really quite difficult book to write, just as you've said already because of its capacious ambitions. I wondered about the sort of philosophical issue that in order to understand Japanese philosophy or Chinese philosophy, we have to translate it into essentially Eurocentric philosophical tradition. You know, there is no view from nowhere. There's only a view from somewhere. So inevitably, this is a Westerners look at it. But at the same time, you know, obviously, I don't want to distort it.
