How to Use Trend Following to Capture Long-Term Trends
You have to conceptualize where it works and where it doesn't work. My own perspective, rather than making this a guessing game, my own perspective is that there are no short-term trends for me. A trend is something much longer based on something much more fundamental as we talked about interest rates. It could be a major shift in the energy supply demand. The US is now supplying more energy and there's a structural change in the world energy distribution.
