The Rise and Fall of Nehru

Chairman Malpud Joe and lie was in charge of China's program to build an atomic bomb. Khrushchev also went on the offensive internationally calling on all these same non-ally nations that Joe had targeted. Nehru looked like a jackass and never recovered from this whole mistake of October 1962. As far as Khrushchev and the Soviet Union were concerned the long slide downhill was still going on.
