Hawkins Dinosaurs
The aguanodon was the largest of 33 concrete dinosaur models that had been commissioned one year earlier. The dinner's guest of honor was professor richard owen, a trained doctor and celebrated paleontologist who spent much of his life studying fossilized remains. Owen provided estimates on the general size and shape of the animals, and then supervised the sculpting process to make sure hawkins captured the key details of each species. It is unclear whether guests sat inside the actual concrete model or inside the mould that the concrete was later poured into. We don't know the exact arrangement of the tab s and chairs, but a drawing published in the illustrated london news a week later does provide some clues
