The Difference Between Butterflies and Moths
Brian Brown is curator of entomology at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. Butterflies have antennae that have what we call a clubbed tip, and there's an expansion at the tip. Moths tend to have antennaes that are hair-like, or they have really furry antennae. Here's a cool butterfly fact: Butterflies taste with their feet so they can know if it's tasty for caterpillars.
