My Father's Anti Trust Law - The Policy of War With Itsself
Robert borke's anti trust law was designed to protect consumers. The consumer welfare standard is the metric by which to apply a cost benefit analysis of anti trust law from the perspective of the consumer. Justice william o douglas took up this cudgel in the sixties and seventies, thwacking businesses for being too successful. He believed judges have a duty to think the real world consequences of their jurisprudence.
