Did the Mary Rose Sink?

It was originally believed that the Mary Rose's gunports were too low, allowing water to flood in as the wind pushed the ship onto its side. This has now been disproven by definitive archaeological evidence. But with so many experienced mariners on board, this does seem odd. Poor decision making might make more sense if we understand that things weren't running as smoothly as they might on the Mary Rose that day. The vice admiral George Kourou had only just been appointed to his new role as commander to the Mary Rose the day before. And according to his brother, he wasn't impressed by his new crew.
