How School Helps Creativity
The nature of the public school system is socialistic. In the sense, if you do well, the school system is designed to beat you down. Some kids work harder and they're better than others; that's how life works. But too many people are afraid to say, congratulations. That was awesome. You did a great job. I'm envious because I want to work as hard as you do.
