The Appointment of a Special Counsel for President Biden

Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel to investigate how classified documents ended up in the personal possession of President Joe Biden. Robert Herr, a former Trump appointed U.S. attorney, will determine if any laws were broken in connection with this matter. It is unclear why that file was only just now found when an extensive search of all the president's properties had been taking place since early November. According to two sources, one of those documents found at the center was marked with the highest government classification.
