Many of my workouts, full body workouts, at least look like usually two combos. You're just combining exercises, but you're not active. There are some exceptions like attacking a superset. It is actually something I first learned from John Meadows. Doing lacrosse before your squats can enhance performance in the squat and it also feels better for a lot of people.
