For forty years, moses was out helping other people. Well we have another picture of moses as a deliverer. And this is what the jews might have had, but didn't have. It came about in the course of those many days that the king of egypt died and the sons of israel sighed because of their bondage. So they have cried out to the lord, and he hears them. E says, the lord heard their groaning. The lord remembered his covenant with abraham, isaac and jacob. He considered their position, and god knew them. This idea that god knows them means that he is determined now to take action to help
