The Risks of Persecution of Gay and Bisexual Men
The main risk was it was illegal and you could get put in prison. I always include bisexual men because if you were arrested in a public toilet with another man, you were in the eyes of a law a gay man. So you were going to get persecuted as much as anybody else. But again, it's a very difficult thing to quantify apart from some of the gay men writing about this.
