Electric Coops - What Happened in the Sixties?
In the sixties and seventies, it's what they call the the second wave of coops. There was literally no way to get natural food in vermont. A lot of our coops started just like that. You get together with your neighbors and you do what it needs to be done. Noami gishbenc is director of the co operative development institute. She says there's a thread that runs through states where there's a history which makes it easier to establish new coops.
