The roll of heracles, or hercules, as somewhere it referred to him, seems to be really huge. He's depicted on many coins, et cetera. I want to know why he became such a big thing. The reason is because he represents a type of masculinity that the kind of men who could afford to a by and own these pieces found impressive.
