Scott's Three-Step Approach

Delete everything that doesn't truly require your attention - toss away ninety percent of what crosses your desk.

Then delegate or delay what remains - hand it off completely or push it to when it actually needs to be handled.

Finally, do what's left and move on - if it can't be deleted, delegated, or delayed, just get it done fast.
