Was It a Mistake Not to Come Here Sooner?
The temperature of the suspect wheel bearing was tracked by three different sensors across a roughly 30 mile stretch. It was only that final sensor, which triggered an audible alert alerting the crew according to NTSB officials today. The question is out there, was that alert level too high for what would have been necessary to possibly prevent this? That's just one of several questions still unanswered in this community.
