Bob Greene says he's been on asthma meds for 20 years, 25. He stopped taking them because his doctor said they're not indicated if you don't have symptoms. The first day that he didn't do his regular asthma meds, Green couldn't breathe. Now it's been a week without the meds and he can run up and downstairs with no problems.
