Do We Have a Fear of Personal Fulfillment in Our Decisions?

i wrestle with the idea of how big a factor should or desires and inclinations play in our decision making. I think it depends on the personality on the moment, but i do think thoe'se tendencies to do both. There are times when god calls us to do really hard things, and we're not going to want to do them. And if we only do things that are comfortable to us, we aren't going to grow at all. We don't have to be ascetics just because something is hard;  neither does God.
