The Murders of Victor LaSada
Victor LaSada murdered his family, his parents and three siblings the night before. He claimed that his family was trying to dismember him and replace his arms with wooden ones. Newspapers really ran with this story, making marijuana public enemy number one. Hurst's papers wrote stories about crackdowns on non-existent marijuana rings.
