I didn't have a real queer experience as a kid or as a teenager at all it was you know I grew up in Southern California so that's it's naturally more liberal than some other places in the country but there's also a lot of conservative values in Southern California. There were definitely other queer kids but no one was talking about being queer no one was admitting it to me when I was growing up. My dad loved drama in high school and he was a DJ in college so I grew up with like his vinyl collection was major there was a ton of music and playing being played all the time my mom loved music they were both very social so that was helpful.
