I'm in the Army All Year, Isn't It?
High school in Israel is focused on preparing students for army service. This year it's coved an army field trip to convince kids that life will be better and more meaningful as a parra trooper or tank corps commander than behind a compy desk. So people like my daughter have to go along for the ride, knowing that being convinced of the glories of combat service is kind of pointless in her case. But you know, she keeps her perspective and sense of humour i asked her what it was like, and she sent me this amusing report: One bus didn't show up at eight a.m., so they had to divide children among the buses. We were only half an hour late
