Jane Burrell, a Housewife on a Dairy Farm
Jane Burrell was a housewife on a dairy farm when she applied to be part of the US government during World War II. Her husband had already signed up for the war effort and so she wanted to bepart of this as well. The X2 unit that she was part of was one of the few to work directly with British intelligence. She ended up getting a divorce from her husband and stayed on as an intelligence officer. Sadly though Jane's career came to an end on January 6, 1948 when she was on a flight back from Brussels and crashed in Paris.
