The Secret to a Really Good Bookshop

Since 1990 you've specialised in taking over book shops which are failing. What is the secret to your turning them around? I think the secret was that actually I spent the first 20 plus years of my book selling life just running my own shop, independent booksellers. And as it happens, if you let each of those individual waterstones run themselves and you do really try and be in each individual shop, a really good bookshop, you do well.
