How to Write a Chapter on an Illuminator
One has to be realistic in doing any piece of historical research. I had to choose people, well first of all, over the widest possible range of backgrounds. The second thing is there has to be people about which we have enough information to be able to write a chapter. A Saphretric Madden is one chapter, Sidney Cockrell is another chapter. Both those two kept dairies, detailed dairies every day of their life for their adult lives from their late teens, right up to the time of their deaths and both still unpublished. And both, who are both those have provided information that you can tell a story there. There's a great deal to say.
