I believe that Joseph here was nothing but just excited because God had been showing him things and he just began to blab it. The worst you could ascribe to him in this situation I think is just maybe immaturity. In hindsight, he might have kept his cards a little closer to his vest and not have shown his hand to other people. But that's not something I don't believe you can blame him for.
