The act of going to see your boss is the act of obsequiousness to power. Stalin essentially said you come to me. So D-Day was eventually launched on 6 June 1944, something that Stalin was desperate to happen. How difficult was it to make D-Day succeed? I wonder if we can look at it today in our own politics.
