The Importance of Trust
As long as central governments succeed in completely controlling markets, one cannot expect miracles from a trend following strategy. Patiently and consistently trying to limit losses is the name of the game for a trend follower in such an environment. The socially least desirable ways out are often the ones that are accompanied by the fattest tales. If this turns out to be the road we travel down, then indeed this would also be bad news for trade-following investor.
