Putin's Unprovoked Attack on Ukraine
Putin's speech was about much more than Ukraine. It was a very broad-ranging attack on the West. He tried to invoke all kinds of historical precedent for this blamed the West for colonialism going back decades. To some ears, it might have seen a slightly deranged narrative. But at the other extreme, it was something which showed that he's trying to bring in other countries.
