The Politics of Derisking

The US is the biggest fossil fuel producer in the world. Our fossil fuel lobby is absolutely gigantic. And so I think, you know, even people on the left understood that part of what needed part of what was going to happen if we were going to lock in climate policy. The idea is that it'll be difficult to to undo what's been done in future in future administration.
