Kate Stradston's new book is the dress diary of Mrs Anne Sykes, secrets from a Victorian wardrobe. It was released in the UK last week and includes hundreds of fabric swatches. She says she can't picture her very easily but feels that she knows the shape of her life. What is your favourite fabric sample? I think obviously that one printed cotton that looks very simple,. it's a very sort of pale trailing floral cotton where she identified herself.
