O God, in the City of the Lord of Hosts

Bible can be a flashlight, mirror and sand paper. Sometimes it shines light on certain parts of our lives or unearths some things about us. We get to see ourselves back to ourselves in the bible. The Bible is just like all God's goodness - sometimes we have to ask him for something that he says 'ok' A lot of times there are no answers but god will give you what you need at the time.
