Is the Addiction a Primary Disease?
If there's negative consequence to you or one's close to you and you have trouble giving it up, then I classify it at least partially as an addiction. It gives you a sense of vitality that you may be of trouble accessing in other areas of your life. And even that vitality is our human heritage. Have you ever seen a baby or a little kid who is not vital? In other words, something was lost at some point. Then the addiction comes along to replace what was lost.
