The Importance of Compatibility in Open Telemetry
The approach we've kind of taken is about compatibility, right? So for example, we've recently released W3C trace context support in our own instrumentation. And this is where things like OTLP and just an agent come into play. But the other part is, you know, people often ask us, why do you still have your own agent? Why are you still investing in your own instrumentation and tracers if you believe in open telemetry? We're very much involved in those conversations.
