The Future of Mining
The Metals Company owns a mining rights to Nori D, which sits in international waters between Hawaii and Mexico. It holds infirm resources of more than 300 million tons of seabed nodules that contain nickel, copper and other battery metals. The Norwegian government proposed opening the door for deep sea mining in its waters last month. Deep sea mining isn't currently legal but is expected to become later this year.
