The Relationship Between Churchill and Roosevelt
I'm not sure they were ever friends. I think friendships are often based on common belief systems. They didn't really have a common, they're both Democrats, of course. But nonetheless, Churchill is absolutely fundamentally a believer in the British Empire. Roosevelt is most certainly not a believer in Britain and he feels that many ways Britain is this outdated place and that it's not the future.
